Dacia, a brand known for its down-to-earth pricing and practicality, is set to introduce a new compact crossover wagon in 2026. Codenamed Dacia C-Neo, the upcoming model will offer rugged looks with a traditional wagon design, challenging the dominance of family wagons like the Skoda Octavia Combi.
The prototype was spotted testing in Southern Europe and is expected to make its official debut later this year. The C-Neo shares underpinnings with Dacia’s Bigster SUV but comes with its own unique style, featuring angular headlights and squared-off bumpers that give it a tougher appearance than standard family wagons.
Inside, the cabin will feature practical design elements like Dacia’s YouClip system for accessory mounts and robust seat fabrics designed to withstand wear. The C-Neo also includes a physical switch allowing drivers to disable driver-assist systems when desired, catering to those who prefer manual control in certain driving conditions.
Powered by the CMF-B platform, the new model will offer a range of powertrain options including gasoline and LPG engines, mild-hybrid setups, and full hybrids. The engine lineup will consist of Renault Group’s turbocharged 1.2-liter three-cylinder unit, ensuring versatility in fuel types while maintaining affordability.
The C-Neo is positioned to compete with established players such as the VW Golf Variant, Seat Leon Sports Tourer, Toyota Corolla Touring Sports, and Hyundai i30 Tourer. However, Dacia’s approach is unique, blending a traditional wagon silhouette with crossover styling for added practicality and a rugged aesthetic.
