Musk outlined several restrictions in his proposal on X, including limiting Grok’s reaction times and click rates to match those of a human player. Additionally, he specified that Grok would only view the game through a camera feed with standard 20/20 vision, ensuring fair competition.
Former League of Legends professional Eugene “Pobelter” Park expressed enthusiasm for the challenge, offering his assistance and noting the unique comparison to past AI-versus-human breakthroughs. Oriol Vinyals, an AI researcher who previously achieved Grandmaster rank in StarCraft, suggested testing Grok’s capabilities in real-time strategy (RTS) gameplay as well.
