The Fiat 500X, a model that has long since been discontinued in the United States after the conclusion of the 2023 model year, continues to linger on dealership lots. This persistence is particularly evident at Criswell Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram Fiat in Gaithersburg, Maryland, where ten new 500X models remain unsold despite significant discounts.
Criswell’s inventory includes a variety of 500X variants, with the entry-level Pop model originally priced at $33,785 now available for $20,999. This represents a discount of over $12,000, making it one of the most heavily discounted vehicles on the market today.
The Sports variant, which initially retailed for $35,865, is also being offered at a steep discount of $14,116. This model can now be purchased for just $22,999, reflecting the desperate measures dealerships are taking to clear out their inventory.
While Criswell appears to have an abundance of 500X models in stock, they are not alone in this predicament. Thomson Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Fiat in Georgia still has one remaining 500X Pop available for $20,650, a discount that far exceeds the original sticker price.
The longevity of these vehicles on dealership lots is particularly striking given that automakers have already begun introducing models for the 2027 year. This suggests that dealerships are willing to go to great lengths to move older inventory, even if it means offering substantial discounts.
Other dealerships such as Alfa Romeo South Miami and Alfa Romeo of Strongsville, Ohio, also still have new 500X Sports in stock. These models, however, are priced at $29,055 and $36,830 respectively, indicating a more cautious approach to discounting.
