Mahindra has just given us a sneak peek into its upcoming electric SUV, the XEV 9S. The latest teaser reveals that the car will feature rear screens as part of its premium package, which is expected to be exclusive to top-spec variants. This innovative addition complements the already impressive Harman Kardon sound system and panoramic sunroof.
With five screens in total, the XEV 9S stands out for its tech-forward approach. The rear screens are rumored to match the functionality of the front ones, potentially offering a seamless user experience across all seats. Mahindra’s commitment to providing cutting-edge technology is evident with these details, setting the XEV 9S apart from other electric SUVs in the market.
The teaser also highlights other features like ambient lighting and black interiors, adding to the car’s luxurious feel. The boot space seems generous as well, giving owners plenty of room for storage or travel gear. Moreover, the front trunk (frunk) is equally spacious, promising versatile options for those looking for extra carrying capacity.
Underpinning the XEV 9S is Mahindra’s INGLO platform, currently also supporting models like the XEV 9e and BE 6. This platform supports two battery pack sizes: a smaller 59 kWh version and a larger 79 kWh option. Both configurations are expected to cater to different customer needs in terms of range and performance.
Mahindra plans to launch the XEV 9S on November 27, with pricing ranging from Rs. 21 lakh to Rs. 30 lakh. Given the features and technology packed into this SUV, it’s clear Mahindra is aiming for a segment where luxury meets innovation.
