Renault Trucks has recently expanded its electric vehicle lineup, introducing the Renault Trucks E-Tech T 585 and E-Tech T 780 models. These new additions to the range boast impressive ranges of up to 600 km on a single charge, making them ideal for long-distance haulage.
The latest iteration of the E-Tech T series is designed to cater specifically to the needs of hauliers who prioritize either payload or range in their operations. The Renault Trucks E-Tech T 585 focuses on offering the highest possible payload while maintaining a respectable range of up to 460 km, making it an excellent choice for those looking to maximize cargo capacity without sacrificing mobility.
The Renault Trucks E-Tech T 780, on the other hand, is geared towards operators who demand maximum range from their vehicles. With its battery capacity reaching 780 kWh, this model can travel up to 600 km on a single charge, ensuring hauliers have the flexibility they need for long-haul operations.
Both models feature an integrated electric axle, which has significantly contributed to increasing their range. The powertrain components are compactly housed at the rear of the vehicle, freeing up space for additional battery packs. This innovative design not only enhances performance but also optimizes efficiency.
The Renault Trucks E-Tech T 780 and T 585 models are equipped with high-energy-density NCA lithium-ion batteries that provide reliable performance over an extended period. The company guarantees the battery’s lifespan up to eight years or one million kilometers, ensuring hauliers can rely on these vehicles for sustained use.
In addition to their impressive range capabilities, both new models come equipped with ultra-fast charging compatibility, allowing them to be charged at stations capable of delivering 720 kW of power. This means that during a standard driver’s rest break, up to 350 km of driving range can be added in just 45 minutes.
Renault Trucks has also improved its existing model, the Renault Trucks E-Tech T 540 4×2, which now offers an extended range of 450 km on a single charge. This upgrade makes it well-suited for regional distribution and short-haul operations where flexibility is key.
The new models feature built-in air suspension to enhance driving comfort and maneuverability when docking. This design ensures that the vehicles are as efficient and user-friendly as possible, providing hauliers with a smooth and comfortable experience throughout their journeys.
Renault Trucks recognizes the importance of maintaining high vehicle availability for its customers. To support this, they offer comprehensive connected services such as Optifleet fleet management solutions and the Serenity Pack electromobility contract. These tools are designed to help hauliers manage their fleets more effectively, ensuring optimal performance and profitability.
This development marks a significant step forward in Renault Trucks’ commitment to electrification and sustainable transportation solutions for commercial use. As the industry continues to shift towards electric vehicles, Renault Trucks remains at the forefront of innovation, providing reliable and high-performance options tailored to specific operational needs.
