According to Rodrigo Pérez Graziano, Stellantis’s leader who recently took over as head of Argentina’s Auto Industry Association (Adefa), the drop in vehicle production is due to a combination of factors. He points out that there were fewer working days this November and several factories have been adjusting their manufacturing plans.

Additionally, Adefa reports an increase in exports by 5.5% compared to last month but still down from previous year levels. The industry exported 31,248 units, which is about a three percent decrease when looking at November of the past two years.

The car sales figures also reflect this trend with dealerships selling fewer cars: they sold 35,249 vehicles in November, marking an almost 21% drop from October and around twelve percent less than what was seen last year. The industry is clearly facing tough times but continues to push for tax reductions.
