The unveiling of the AUDI E SUV concept at Auto Guangzhou marks a significant step in Audi’s push into the Chinese electric vehicle market. This concept, set to become Audi’s second production model for China after the successful launch of the E5 Sportback, promises to redefine premium mobility within the large SUV segment.

The sister brand for China, introduced in November 2024 and now gearing up for its first full-scale production vehicle, is a strategic move by Audi to cater specifically to the demands of Chinese consumers. By collaborating with SAIC on the Advanced Digitized Platform (ADP), Audi aims to offer vehicles that not only meet but exceed local expectations for technology integration and digital connectivity.

Measuring 5,057 mm long, 2,042 mm wide, and 1,786 mm tall with a wheelbase of 3,060 mm, the E SUV concept is positioned as an imposing yet sleek addition to Audi’s electric vehicle lineup. The exterior design is a harmonious blend of futuristic aesthetics and classic SUV proportions, emphasizing its powerful stance and dynamic presence.

Under the hood, the E SUV concept packs two high-performance electric motors, one for each axle, delivering a combined output of 500 kW (671 hp). This formidable powertrain is complemented by Audi’s quattro all-wheel drive system, enabling impressive performance with a sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in approximately five seconds. The vehicle’s high-capacity 109 kWh battery not only supports its robust acceleration but also provides an impressive range of over 700 kilometers according to the CLTC cycle.

One of the standout features of the E SUV concept is its advanced driver assistance system, tailored specifically for Chinese driving conditions. The AUDI 360 Driving Assist System offers a suite of intelligent safety and convenience functions designed to enhance both comfort and security on highways, in city traffic, and during parking maneuvers.

As China continues to lead the global EV revolution with stringent environmental policies and rapidly expanding charging infrastructure, Audi’s commitment to this market is evident through its investment in local partnerships and technology. The E SUV concept is not just a vehicle; it’s a statement of Audi’s dedication to delivering innovative mobility solutions that resonate deeply with Chinese consumers.

With the production version scheduled for launch in 2026, the AUDI E SUV stands poised to capture the hearts and minds of China’s growing EV enthusiasts. This marks another milestone in Audi’s strategic journey towards becoming a leading brand in the world’s largest auto market.
