Nio Inc. (NYSE: NIO) announced the launch of its 200th battery swap station in Shanghai on December 28, bringing a significant boost to electric vehicle infrastructure within the city. With this addition, Shanghai now boasts more than any other Chinese city with over 10 million services provided since inception.

Stanly Qu, Nio’s CFO, noted at an event last year that most of its stations in Shanghai provide over 100 swap services daily. The company has partnerships not only with Sinopec but also China National Petroleum Corp (CNPC), CNOOC and Shell to expand battery swapping facilities.
