Gotion Begins Delivering Unified Cells to Volkswagen from 2026
Chinese battery manufacturer Gotion High-tech has started supplying unified cells to Volkswagen, with deliveries commencing on November 20, 2025. This marks the beginning of a five-year strategic partnership between Gotion and Volkswagen's in-house battery unit PowerCo.
The unified cell technology from Gotion is designed as a standardized solution that can accommodate various chemical systems and fit multiple vehicle platforms, offering high compatibility and performance. According to Gotion, these cells incorporate advanced features such as fast-charging capabilities, enhanced safety measures, and improved low-temperature performance.
