Ather Energy Debuts Rizta in Sri Lanka, Bolstering Global Presence

Ather Energy made its mark at the Colombo Motor Show this year by introducing the Ather Rizta to the Sri Lankan market. The launch comes on the heels of their December 2024 entry with the Ather 450X and further strengthens their international foothold.

Evolution Auto Pvt. Ltd., acting as Ather’s official distributor in Sri Lanka, has been instrumental in setting up 40 Experience Centres across the country to cater to customer needs. In addition to these centres, Ather has invested heavily in establishing a robust charging infrastructure with Ather Grid fast chargers spread out at key locations.

The Rizta offers a comfortable and practical ride for daily commuters. Its large seat and spacious under-seat storage of 34 litres make it an attractive option for those who need extra room for essentials. The model also features SkidControl technology, enhancing safety on the road. For connectivity, the top-of-the-line Rizta Z variant includes a seven-inch TFT dashboard that supports Google Maps navigation, music control, and call management.

Since its international debut in Nepal last year, Ather has been making steady progress in establishing itself as a leading player in the electric two-wheeler segment. As we reported earlier this year, Honda and other manufacturers are also stepping up their game to compete with Ather’s growing influence in the global EV market.

In India, where Ather began its journey, the company has been expanding rapidly. As of September 2025, it boasts a network of 524 Experience Centres and an impressive number of over 3,643 fast-charging stations. This extensive infrastructure helps to support their growing customer base and encourages wider adoption of electric vehicles.

The introduction of the Rizta in Sri Lanka is yet another milestone for Ather Energy as it continues its mission to revolutionize urban mobility through sustainable transportation solutions. With this latest move, they are not only enhancing their brand presence but also contributing significantly towards building a greener future.
