Xpeng’s chairman and CEO He Xiaopeng announced today that the refreshed P7+, a global model, will be launched in early 2026. The vehicle aims to boost sales of its mid-to-large sedan by introducing EREV variants alongside BEV options. The new model starts at RMB 186,800 ($26,640).

The refreshed P7+ features a combined range of up to 1,550 kilometers for the extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) version and up to 725 km for battery-electric vehicles. The model introduces over 100 experience enhancements and upgrades 36 percent of primary assemblies.

After launching only BEVs during its early years, Xpeng has now entered the EREV segment with the P7+. It’s part of a broader strategy to expand into overseas markets by adhering to global production standards. The company unveiled its Kunpeng Super Electric System at Tech Day in November 2024.
