Xpeng Boosts G6 Cashback to $5,000 for End-of-Year Sales Push

Xpeng has increased its cashback offer on the G6 electric SUV to up to $5,000 in a bid to clear out inventory ahead of an upcoming model refresh. This move follows earlier incentives and comes with additional perks like a discounted warranty and free servicing.

Xpeng’s latest cashback offer on the G6 SUV is a significant increase from its previous $3,000 incentive. The company aims to clear out older stock ahead of the model refresh, offering buyers a compelling deal with up to $5,000 in savings.

The G6 comes in two variants: Standard and Long Range, both featuring an 800V architecture for fast charging capabilities. The standard variant is equipped with a 66 kWh battery providing up to 435 km of range, while the long-range model offers 87.5 kWh and up to 570 km.

Compared to competitors like Tesla’s Model Y, Xpeng’s G6 starts at $54,800 before on-road costs, making it a more affordable option in Australia’s mid-sized electric SUV market. The Model Y, however, begins at around $62,900.

In addition to the cashback offer, Xpeng is also providing a 10-year warranty for just $880, down from its previous value of over $5,000, and offering five years or 100,000 km of free servicing. These incentives add significant value and appeal to potential buyers.

Xpeng’s aggressive end-of-year incentives on its G6 SUV aim to boost sales and clear out older inventory. With these offers, the company looks to maintain competitive pricing against rivals like Tesla in Australia’s growing electric vehicle market.
